When the NHLPA filed for bankruptcy in May 2016, many players believed that they would have a good deal to offer in the form of salary cap relief.
But that hasn’t happened.
There have been reports that players have received a small cut in their annual salary cap hit, and that players are being paid in advance of their scheduled free agency.
In the meantime, players are paying for their future with their futures.
It’s been the most expensive contract in the history of the league.
It is a very costly contract, and a huge factor in why teams have taken the easy option of not signing the players who have been there.
There is a long way to go before the league can finally begin to rebuild its salary cap.
But we’re seeing that the players that made the big money are paying a very fair amount of money.
