A new generation.
This time around, the brother parts manufacturer is taking a new approach to its production and assembly process.
Instead of just making a few machines, it’s making the entire process of assembling the machine a little easier.
“It’s a lot more about understanding what’s going on inside the machine, and the whole process from start to finish,” says Adam Giesbrecht, CEO of The Brother Machine Group.
“That’s where the innovation and the speed comes in.
That’s what’s been happening with the brother machines.”
Giesbrech says his company started out with a handful of brothers.
By the time it opened its doors in 2014, the company had about 40.
Now it’s a full-fledged assembly company, with roughly 300 employees.
The company has been making the machines since the early 1980s, but the brothers have since moved to a new factory that’s more like a manufacturing plant than a assembly facility.
The new factory has a 3-D printer in the basement, and a machine shop that makes machine parts for other brothers.
Giesrecht says the brother-machine assembly process has been around for years.
“We started in 1982, and that’s been the most important thing to us for 10 years,” he says.
“But that was the first time I’ve ever heard of someone trying to automate that process.
It’s a very complex process.
And the people at The Brother Machines have done a tremendous job, and I’m very proud of them for that.”
The brother machines company is one of several that have made headlines this year as manufacturers, retailers, and others have begun using 3-d printers and other manufacturing tools to automate their production processes.
But the company’s brother machines are one of the first machines that have been built using those tools.
“You can actually see the machine,” Giesrech says.
He shows us the prototype, which has a large, red “L” on its right side.
“This is a machine that has been assembled from parts,” he explains.
“It’s really a little bit more complicated than a normal machine.
You have to take a picture of the parts you want, then you print them out.
And then you assemble it.”
Gicsbrech said he chose the brother part maker because it’s more efficient than other companies.
“You’re not spending as much money on production and getting things assembled,” he said.
“So it’s been a better investment.”
It’s been about 10 years since The Brother Group started its brother machine assembly process, and he said that it’s helped them become one of America’s top brother machines manufacturers.
“I can tell you that I’m always proud of the people who work here,” he explained.
“They’re really great people, and they make a lot of great machines.
And it’s not just us who make a great machine.
We make a very good machine.
But it’s very different from what most people think of as a brother machine.”
